The cost of an African safari varies considerably depending on your destinations, the standard of accommodation, the time of year and the experiences you choose.

We don't sell off-the-shelf packages. Every journey thoughtfully designed as we spend time getting to know you, carefully crafting an itinerary that simply can't be Googled or replicated elsewhere.

We specialize in luxury and ultra-luxury African travel, with most of our bespoke safaris ranging between USD $1,000 and $5,000 per person, per night. This typically includes luxury accommodation, expertly planned logistics, private transfers, exceptional guides and unforgettable experiences.

A typical safari lasts between 5 and 12 days, which allows enough time to explore one or two regions without feeling rushed. Shorter safaris (3 / 4 days) are possible, especially in destinations like South Africa, while longer itineraries can include multiple countries or a combination of safari and beach experiences.

Yes, many safari lodges cater specifically to families and offer child-friendly activities, family suites, and flexible game drive options - just read this blog if you’re unsure. Some lodges have age restrictions for safety reasons as they’re unfenced, but there are excellent options for families with children of all ages, especially in South Africa and malaria-free reserves!

It’s best to book your safari a minimum of 12 months in advance, especially if you’re traveling during peak season (June to October).

Boutique lodges are booked up early and many only offer a small number of rooms. We have arranged safaris at shorter notice but we cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice or the dates you’re specifically looking for.

We’ve noticed that shoulder months like April or May are getting more and more busy as it’s a secret season and we’ve noticed a huge increase in travel during these months, as the weather is still relatively good and prices are lower.

Tipping is customary on safari and is a way to show appreciation for excellent service. As a general guideline, guests tip guides, trackers, and lodge staff at the end of their stay. Recommended amounts vary by country and lodge level, but we will provide specific guidance based on where you’re going and for how long.
